Octavo. (vi), 33, (34)pp. An appropriate association copy, relating one of the foremost engravers of his generation to one of the previous. Overflowing with Moser's woodcuts; details of illustrations in red ink punctuate the essay, which is itself followed by fifteen additional engravings. The selection of illustrations represent some of the artist's most celebrated works, including The Pennyroyal Caxton Bible, Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, and The Wizard of Oz, along with two self portraits. Bound in scarlet silk with paper spine label. Glancing rubs to corners, scattered foxing to edges of text block, else fine.
