Folio. (34)pp. Henry Morris's first artist's book, produced 52 years into his printing career, which continues his exploration into the culture and history of the fictional Republic of San Serriffe. In this expansion on the mythos, the subject is stamps and letters produced for imaginary nations, especially ones that made their way through real-world postal systems. Facsimiles of stamped envelopes and printed letters from all over the imaginary world are tipped in, and a letter originally included with Morris's Booksellers of San Serriffe bearing a San Serriffe 50-cent stamp and postmarked April 9, 2001 from Port Clarendon is laid in. Morris printed 20 copies of The San Serriffe Postal Service to sell at the 2010 Oak Knoll Fest, but he offered a few copies to long-time subscribers, of which this is one, with a letter to that effect laid in, together with a hand-written note from him and original sales receipt.
