Octavo. (viii), (45)pp. Illustrated with the Dun Emer device to the title page, and colophon printed in red. According to Miller, "the essay by Yeats had been selected as an introduction to Maunse's collected edition of Synge's works in four volumes, but Yeats withdrew it because he considered some of the work reprinted to be unworthy of Synge's reputation" (p. 63). Publisher's gray linen-backed printed boards show minor rubs to corners; spine with several small spots. With publication label from Mitchell Kennerley affixed to upper corner of front pastedown. Very good overall. (MIller 16)
