Folio. 135, (6)pp. Illustrated with five hand-colored etchings by Alan James Robinson of the Press of the Sea Turtle and Cheloniidae Press, one for each of the "Big Five," along with numerous wood engravings and line drawings throughout. One of the Classics in African Hunting Series, the text was written by professional hunter Robin Hurt, with maps and charts to supplement Robinson's artwork. Robinson also designed the book, along with Jacque Neufeld and Ludo Wurfbain at Safari Press, and it was printed at the Stinehour Press. The extra suite was printed by Harold McGrath, with the exception of the etchings, which were completed and hand-colored by Robinson. Bound in full green leather by Gray Parrot, extra suite in a cloth-covered chemise, and the whole housed in a cloth-covered dropback box with a paper spine label. Fine.
