A brief Foreword specifies the target age group of six to ten-year-olds and touts its immediate educational success: "In schools where this work is already being done, it is most successful, and children are fascinated with it." Accompanying text links the images to books of stories already in the teacher's possession, with tales including the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk, and other nursery rhymes. Bound in brown paper over boards decorated with children in silhouette. Exterior modestly rubbed with a few unobtrusive stains, else very good.
