Oblong octavo. (viii), 16pp. The prefatory material explains the possible uses of the subsequent patterns with photographs as visual aid. The 64 patterns of various geometrical arrangements and in an array of colors are all hand-stamped and/or hand-applied. Chiefly made for the juvenile audience who might be simultaneously educated in the Froebel gifts or other handcrafts, here those earlier forms have been adapted to modern styles and their emphases on shapes, contours, and forms. Bound in decorated wrappers showing marginal edgewear. Near fine and quite scarce, with only a handful of examples in institutions.
