This engaging and tactile picture book uses layers of printed translucent overlays and cut-out paper windows to create illustrations that transform as the pages are turned. A bus travels through the fog of Milan, depicted with translucent pages printed with heavy black lines and obscure, blocky shapes with a few spots of green shining through, until it finally reaches the circus, bright and shining within the mist, represented with layers of brightly-colored paper with depictions of the exciting oddities within. Faint soiling to exterior and modest edgewear, else very good in moderately soiled and glancingly chipped, price-clipped dust wrapper.
